Kayla and Paige C think that it is 7$ for children and 4$ for seniors. We made an equation that for the 1st day. We used guess and check to create an equal equation. For the 2nd part of the equation we used 5y+8x=67 and each $ amount makes both parts equal. :D
children cost $7 and seniors cost $4.
we plugged in different numbers until we got the right answer.
(8*4)+(7*5)=$67
The answer is:
$4 for seniors
$7 for children
Steps:
I used the process of guess and check until i found one that worked.
ex.
5 and 8
6 and 9
We started using x for children and y for seniors. then we came up with the equation 9x + 3y = 75. So then we tried to find the intercepts. When we tried to find the intercepts we came up with a seniorticket is 25$.So when we compared to Kaylas it wasnt right. so we got it wrong.
Childrens costs $7 and children $4.
I got this because I kept on plugging in numbers for the child and adult.I also used the calculator to sum it all up to see if i was right.
Answer: Child $7 Senior $4
(7*9)+(3*4)=$75
(8*4)+(5*7)=$67
seniors= $4
children=$7
I got this because I knew that seniors usually get discounts on things so their ticket will be cheaper then I pluged in a number for them and got 4 and 7.
(4*8)+(7*5)=$67
$4 for seniors
$8 for child
we got this uding the guess and check method we started out using $5 for seniors and $8 for children
(3*5)+(5*8)=55 so that is wrong
and we kept using numbers like that untill we got the right answer
i used guess and check. Kids are 4 and Seniors are 7.
children cost $7 and seniors cost $4. I used the guess and check method to get my answer.
i used the process of guess and check. So I fisrt plugged in a bunch of numbers and came to the conclusion that it is 7 dollars for children and 4 dollars for seniors. For the first day i multiplied the number of children by 7 (9x7=63). then i multiplied the number of seniors by 4 (3x4=12). then i added up the products of each and got the sum of $75. I did the same for the second day and i got the right answer.
I think that the answer is
$4 for a senior
$7 for a kid
I got this answer by guess and checkng. I tried so many different numbers and got this.
(7*9)+(3*4)=$75
(8*4)+(5*7)=$67
The answer is 7$ for children and 4$ for seniors. I pluged in answers till i got the right one.
(8*4)+(5*7)=67
(3*4)+(9*7)=75
I got $4 for seniors and $7 for children. I kept plugging in numbers till I got the right answer!
7*9 + 3*4=$75
8*4 + 5*7=$67
*I got it wrong a few times but I kept guessing and checking*
I came up with $4 for seniors and $7 for children. I used the guess and check method from 10 down. I soon found both.
kids are 7 seniors are 4 i guessed and check till i got it
