Kayla and I used the guess and check method. The answer is 4+8= 12. We started with 2+6=8, then went up by one and did 3+7=10. Last we did 4+8 and got the value of 12.

The answer is 4+8=12. we used the guess and check method while using the rule given.

The Answer is: 4&8
because: 4=8=12 and 8-4=4

Steps:
I listed all combinations of numbers that added up to 12 then i found which ones had the difference of 4.
ex:
1+11
2+10
3+9
4+8
5+7
6+6

I made an equation...
2x-4=12
+4 +4
2x=16
2 2
x=8
-4
=4
*4+8=12*

Leah and I got 4+8= 12. We just subtracted four from twelve and got eight. Then we added four and eight together and got twelve; so we knew we were right....

4 and 8

These are the steps we used:
1. We used the guess and check method.
2. When we thought we had the answer we used a calculator to check our answer.
3. 12-4=8 8/2=4 4+4=8 8&4!

We started out with the guess and check method. Using the numbers two numbers that are equal to 12. We used 7 and 3 but that equaled 10 so we jumped up a step and used 4 and 8. That equaled 12. Both of the numbers are 4 apart from each other.

4+8=12
I just kept on putting in numbers that would equal 12.
Then i checked to see if the difference was 4.

I did the guess and check method and got 8 and 4 as my answer.I did the math and got 8-4=4 and 8+4=12.

I used the guess and check method. I got 8+4=12 and I seen that 8-4=4 so that had to be the answer. When I tried 9+3=12 the first time and i tried the subtraction it didn't equal 4 it was 6 so that couldn't be the answer.

When you subtract 8 and 4 you get 4, which is one part of the problem. When you add 8 and 4 you get 12, thus procedingly solving the equation.

The answer is 4+8=12. I started with the usual 6+6, then I decided to add 4 to one 6 and subtract 4 from another 6, it turned out to be 2+10=12.It equaled 12, but the difference was greater than 4.So I took 2 away from the 10 since it was to high and added 2 to 2 because it was too low.it ended up as 4+8=12, which has a difference of 4. Thats how I got it♣♥

The answer is 4+8=12. Me and Megan arrived at this answer by starting at 7+4=11. We went up 1 and got 8. and the distance was 4.

first we guessed at which numbers equal 12 that may have a difference of 4...so first we did 6+6=12 but that doesn't have a difference of 4 then we guessed 8+4=12 then we subtracted 4 from 8 and got 4

The answer is 4+8=12. And I used the guess and check method and got the right answer.
